Originale bewahren und für die Zukunft sichern
We are in danger of losing our valuable cultural heritage in libraries and archives. Written cultural heritage from 170 years of world history is gradually falling victim to progressive paper deterioration. Preserving irreplaceable originals is a challenge and an obligation to the generations who come after us. At the same time, microfilming and digitisation of documents to preserve them and make them easier to use is, in many cases, appropriate and necessary.
Association for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage
The Association for the Preservation of Written Cultural Heritage (GSK) is a one-stop provider of innovative preservation services for original documents and copies. With the Bückeburg process and the book CP process GSK has a fully-developed technology, which is constantly being further developed, to halt the degradation process of individual sheets and bound archival materials. The creation of secondary copies suited to the needs of users is seamlessly integrated into the mass paper conservation workflow. In addition, GSK provides archive centres in Germany and abroad with on-site advice on paper conservation and equips them with the required technology for single-sheet and book deacidification.
